

Joseph D. Welch is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri as well as the United States Supreme Court. His practice is concentrated in estate and business planning and asset protection.
Mr. Welch is a graduate of St. Louis University , B.A., cum laude (1974); juris doctor (1977). He has authored legal articles for publication by the St. Louis University Law Journal and the Missouri Bar Association. He is a frequent author and lecturer on estate planning topics, and has written and spoken at various legal education seminars and programs sponsored by the University of Missouri School of Law and the Missouri Bar Association. In 1993 he was recognized for “Significant Contribution to the Bush Administration and the Department of the Interior.” He is listed in Who’s Who in America , Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and Who’s Who in the World. He is also listed in the national Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
Mr. Welch’s professional affiliations enable him to stay current with constantly changing tax laws and cutting edge planning strategies. He is a partner in the firm of Cary , Welch & Hickman, L.L.P. and has achieved the highest possible designation by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, which is a confidential rating by attorneys with and against whom he has practiced. His legal ability was rated “from very high to preeminent.” Joseph’s ethical standards were also rated in the highest category.
Mr. Welch’s memberships include the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys (2000-2004); The Wealth Strategies Collaborative; and the Alliance of International Legal Counselors, LLC. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Studies Curriculum of the Esperti Peterson Institute. Mr. Welch is a charter member of The Estate Planning Center, LLC which serves the estate planning and asset protection needs of clients in Illinois and Missouri.
